10 Definitive Books to Start Your Personal Development Journey

Nowadays, it is vitally important to develop ourselves personally beyond what we are taught at school.

Many of us, after completing our studies, and many until University or a Master’s Degree, find ourselves in a jungle of the Job Market and Social Life, utterly different from the idea we were given at school.

This is how we discover that we were told a lie. The lie of “Finish school, get a good job, work your way up until you have a position, buy a house and a car on installments, pay off a loan until you’re 65, retire and die”.

The problem is that, when we realize the inefficiency of the life strategy they “programmed” us with, we are already too late. We are already involved in the “rat race” and it becomes very difficult to get out of it.

Everything they taught us is practically wrong, that is, not necessarily, but school trains “workers”, it does not form “entrepreneurs”, it forms “employees” it does not form “bosses” or “CEOs”.

We are told that it is enough to get married, have children, buy a house and a car on credit, but after all, girls our age at school are talking on Instagram with individuals 10 years older on yachts in Dubai, millionaires and promising give them lives you can only dream of.

And the next thing you know, you are 30 years old, single, and suffering rejection after rejection, even though you have “a good job”, and even though you have your house “bought” and your car “bought” too, but then, Why do you seem to feel empty? Why do women continue to reject him? Even if you go to the gym, look good, stay in shape, and look after your appearance, why does it seem like life still doesn’t smile at you? Always waiting for the end of the month, the money not arriving for anything. And now? What to do?

Okay, up there, when I talked about the “rat race”, I said it was “difficult” to get out, I didn’t say it was “impossible”.

The truth is that there are books. Magical books, full of knowledge, very different from the boring Mathematics and Language Functioning books we had at school. They are called Personal Development and Self-Help books.

Some also fall into the “Management and Entrepreneurship” category, but basically, they are books written by people who managed to think outside the box, abandon the rat race, and turn the system in their favor, leaving the invisible slavery we were in.” programmed” to live.

The famous “Escape from the Matrix”. This is what people like Robert Kiyosaki, Napoleon Hill or Dale Carnegie achieved, and then dedicated their lives to passing this knowledge on to others.

    Conclusion

For better or worse, all these books contributed a lot to my personal development, having read most of them right at the beginning of my journey to transform my life forever.

I currently have a lot more books in my luggage, and some of them I read later, but I thought it would be good to introduce them here because some of them contain knowledge that I would have liked to have had at the beginning so as not to make the mistakes I did, even after I had already considered myself a “developed person”.

And just as these books transformed me, I hope they do the same for you, because change is important.

The current system will not improve, it will not make it easier for us. Jobs will start to become scarce, house prices will continue to rise more than salaries and it will become imperative that we know how to generate other sources of income and that we have financial education that was never given to us at school.

I challenge the reader to obtain and read at least 1 of these books per month when they receive their paycheck. Invest in your education, and in your personal development.

Thank me later. Start now by getting the first one on the “Rich Dad, Poor Dad” list, and your mind after reading this book will be greatly transformed. After reading this book, you will be an “awake”, developed person. And then just continue. Commit. Invest in yourself.
